Traditional Cremation Service from Mears Family Funerals over 14% less than National Average

The cost of a traditional cremation funeral arranged with Mears Family Funerals is just £3,309[1], more than 14% less than the average UK cost of £3,858 as revealed in the latest SunLife ‘Cost of Dying’ report[2].

In addition to being less than the national average, Mears Family Funerals is over 25% cheaper than the big corporate chains of Dignity and Co-Op[3]:

The Professional Fees figures used in the above comparison table were taken from the Mears Family Funerals, West Wickham Funeralcare and Francis Chappell & Sons website on 7 January 2020 and includes a veneered coffin and a hearse and limousine. The cremation fee is based on an adult cremation at Hither Green Crematorium after 10am. The Doctors’ Fees are as published by the BMA and the Minister’s Fee is as per 2019 Parochial Fees published by the Church of England.
