Starting up!

As many of my friends and clients are aware I sold my business 'Steven Mears Funeral Directors' some five years ago.

This business was based in Lewisham, Beckenham and Sydenham and I am now not involved at all in the business.

I started Mears Family Funerals just over three years later as I felt that there was a need for my brand of low cost / high quality funerals around my old stumping ground.

Lisa, Yvonne, Dianne, Tony, John and Aron all jumped at the chance to return to the fold and I was very humbled by the fact that they decided to join me.

We started with our Catford shop and within the year had three others, (Eltham, West Wickham and Bromley).

Trading as Mears Family Funerals it was a struggle at first for our clients to distinguish between us and my old company.

I am a traditional Funeral Director and our signs have always been black.

You can imagine my glee when my old firm decided to change to white signs! Now our clients know that if they want to be served by the Mears Family this will only happen if the shop sign is black!
